Tap a pager number to auto-dial. Long-press a phone to copy. Pinned items show first.
The tricky part: iPhone shows you the whole list, but only imports the ones you explicitly tap. You HAVE to scroll to the very bottom and tap “Add All Contacts”. Follow every step below carefully.
Tap the download button.
Either Save all residents (green, 37 contacts) or Save all faculty + APPs (orange, 99 contacts).
Safari opens a new tab with the file.
You'll see either a preview of the .vcf file OR a bar at the top with the option to open it. If you see a preview bar, tap it. If nothing happens, tap Downloads (the ↓ arrow next to the address bar), then tap the file named duke-obgyn-faculty.vcf.
A giant list of names appears.
This is the preview of all 99 contacts. Do NOT tap any name. If you tap one, only that person imports.
Scroll ALL the way to the bottom of the list.
Past every single name. It's a long scroll. Keep going until you can't scroll anymore.
Tap the blue “Add All Contacts” button at the very bottom.
This is the one you want. iOS then shows a popup: “Add 99 Contacts?” — tap Add.
Done.
Open the Contacts app to verify. Every faculty member will show their division (MFM, Gyn Onc, etc.) as their company. Every resident has their PGY year.
Almost always means you tapped a name in the preview list before scrolling to “Add All Contacts”. Contacts already imported are safe to keep — just re-run the flow to add the rest. Duplicates get merged automatically if the name + phone match.
Still not working? Try opening this page in Safari (not the PWA / home-screen app). If you're already in Safari, try Chrome. iOS PWAs occasionally block the Contacts hand-off entirely.
Mac: Tap the download button → the file lands in Downloads → double-click it → macOS Contacts opens the “Add All” sheet automatically.
Windows: Download the .vcf → open it in Outlook or a contacts app. Windows 10/11 lacks a bulk .vcf importer natively — use a free tool like VCF to CSV converter if you need it in another app.
Android: Download the .vcf → open the Files app → tap the file → tap Import to Contacts → pick which account (Google, Samsung, etc.). All contacts import at once — no per-card tapping needed.
Save as one iPhone Contact phone field — commas are dial pauses.
Set Spok status to “On page” first, then call.
When you call: indicate the emergency + where. E.g., “OB hemorrhage 5703” or “OB emergency to Main OB OR”.
Use when off-service baby needs a circ — inform 5800 charge nurse.
Format: “Level X for X, Attending Name #Phone.” Nights/weekend: page Anesthesia Resident to OB Chief instead.
